Restaurant on Mississippi
Back in November of 2005 I was living and working out my home in N Portland. Often, cabin fever would take hold of me and I had to get out and go for a walk. Often, while walking, I’d duck into shops, restaurants, etc and get a bite, a tea, or simply just be some place other than my house for a while. One night, I stopped in at a restaurant on Mississippi Street- I don’t believe it is there anymore… but before they closed shop, I stopped in this place, had a great meal, and took the kitchen pics below.
I think I freaked the chef out. I think he thought I was doing a restaurant review or something for a magazine. After all, I had a camera out and I was jotting ideas in my sketchbook while he cooked. For all he knew, I was scouting the place out for my story and his culinary reputation was at stake. Little did he know, I was just some crazy bum who happened in because I was getting restless at my house and my mind was filled with ideas that needed to be jotted down on paper or lost. However, if I would have been writing a review, it would have been good.
