Alaska, Post 3 of Many.

Me prolly will be posting quite a bit from my trip to Alaska in the coming weeks. You see, I just returned from a trip up there, and now, I’ve got lots of juicy content in my archives. I’ll be sorting through and posting about it bit by bit. To begin, the image above is a totem pole (of sorts) that I drew on the trip in my sketchbook. My parents are the characters represented here- I was just experimenting and doodling with an appropriated version of this new style of art I found.
I visited several rich Native American port cities along the southern coastline and I fell in love, for the first time, with traditional Native American art… especially totem poles which can be read about here. I’m going to keep experimenting with my pens and see what I can come up with. However, it’ll be a long while before I start actually carving lumber.
While traveling to Alaska, I had a lot of time to stare at the ocean and reflect and ponder my position in Portland- reflecting like hot sunlight on the choppy surface of cold water. My mind nearly split in two.
The last thing I ever want to be is the boy who cried wolf… literally or metaphorically, it doesn’t matter, it is time to growl back and it is time to gnash my yellow teeth.
